Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia offers acute medical and surgical care, ICU, rehabilitation, geriatric care, psychiatric care, surgery, and emergency care in a Level IV Trauma Center. With a service area that covers a 50-mile radius in Limestone, Freestone, Hill, and Leon counties in Central Texas, Parkview serves approximately 40,000 people. For illness or injury requiring more extensive diagnostics or treatment, Parkview has existing transfer agreements with two hospitals in Waco a short 40 minutes away.

Mexia Rural Health Clinic is located in the medical office building adjacent to Parkview. Physicians specializing in family practice, internal medicine and pediatrics, as well as two family nurse practitioners, are available for non-emergent medical needs.

Tejas Urgent Care is located on Highway 84 (Milam St.) in Mexia and offers walk-in clinic and urgent care services. With extended evening and weekend hours, Tejas is a great resource for family medical care and non-life threatening emergency needs.

Mexia is also home to a full complement of specialty health care providers: dental, orthodontics, physical therapy, and optometry are all locally available.
