Susan Cates is a native Texan with roots deep in rural Texas. Susan is a graduate of Texas A&M University. Experience spanning Human Resources, Manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing, as well as owning her own business, led her to a career in Economic Development. Susan holds her Professional Community and Economic Developer certification from the Community Development Council and is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute.

JoAnna Wolfe, Administrative Assistant
JoAnna Wolfe was born and raised in North Carolina. Growing up in a military infused town within a multicultural household contributed to a diverse upbringing. JoAnna is a graduate of East Carolina University. Although new to Economic Development, an eight year career in higher education and volunteer work with the Jaycees provided many opportunities to learn about event planning, organization, and fundraising within the community. JoAnna moved to Mexia in September of 2016, and continues to fall in love with her new hometown every day.
